HIGHLIGHTS
FULL DAY ITINERARY
Our day begins with a complimentary pick up from your accommodation in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. For anyone interested in history and current events, our guide will provide some background information on this sprawling city and its role in the country.
After leaving town, we drive west out of the city on increasingly winding and scenic roads, heading upwards into the low and lush, Andean Mountains. Among nature lovers, this region is known for its natural diversity, and we'll be stopping at a couple of viewpoints to admire the subtropical landscapes.
We then continue to climb into El Fuerte de Samaipata archaeological site, where the lush, green countryside is a tranquil contrast to the big city. Enjoy a guided tour that will show you the most important features and allow you to have some free time for self exploration as well. After our tour of ‘El Fuerte’, we drive into the town of Samaipata for our awaited lunch, after which we start making our way back to Santa Cruz.
On the way, time/weather permitting, we will stop at Las Cuevas waterfalls for a refreshing bath in natural pools under picturesque waterfalls in a tropical setting. Continue our return drive and arrive back in town in the evening between 6 and 7 pm
